About MatrixFlow

Built for healthcare teams that need more than another software vendor.

MatrixFlow helps clinics, practices, behavioral health organizations, and veterinary teams clarify how work should move, who owns each step, and how technology should support the operating model. We connect operations, clinical reality, leadership, and technical execution.

Why MatrixFlow exists

Healthcare technology only works when the operating model is clear.

Most operational problems are not purely technical. They are a mix of unclear ownership, inconsistent handoffs, disconnected tools, manual work, weak visibility, and systems that do not match how work actually happens.

MatrixFlow was built for healthcare organizations that need more than another tool to log into. When a workflow breaks down, the fix is rarely just new software. It is clarity about how the work should move, who owns each step, where issues escalate, what leaders need to see, and how the system should support all of it.

We combine data systems architecture, clinical operations experience, and executive business transformation advisory support so clinics, practices, and healthcare operators can turn unclear handoffs, disconnected tools, and manual work into practical operating systems their teams will actually use, and leaders can sustain.

What we help teams clarify

  • Who owns each step, from the first message to the final handoff
  • How work moves between providers, techs, nurses, and the front desk
  • When an issue should escalate, and to whom
  • What leaders need to see to make a decision
  • How staff know what to do without asking three people first
  • Where work quietly gets stuck, duplicated, or dropped
  • How reporting turns daily activity into real visibility
  • How EHR and PIMS systems should support the workflow, not fight it
  • How automation and AI safely reduce friction instead of adding confusion

Leadership and Advisory

Technical, clinical, and executive transformation depth.

MatrixFlow combines technical execution, clinical operations experience, and executive transformation advisory support to help healthcare organizations improve how work actually gets done.

Ben Kimbrough, Founder and Principal Engineer at MatrixFlow

Ben Kimbrough

Founder and Principal Engineer, Healthcare Workflow and Data Systems

Founder and principal engineer with 10 plus years of experience turning healthcare workflows, data systems, reporting needs, automation opportunities, and secure cloud architecture into practical software that teams can actually use.

Ben Kimbrough is the founder and principal engineer behind MatrixFlow. He brings more than a decade of experience across data engineering, analytics, software architecture, automation, reporting, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI systems.

Ben's role is to turn operational complexity into working technology. He maps messy workflows, identifies where handoffs and systems break down, designs the technical architecture, and builds the portals, dashboards, pipelines, automations, and secure data layers needed to support real healthcare operations.

His experience spans enterprise analytics, healthcare data systems, HIPAA aligned portal work, database and cloud infrastructure, workflow software, reporting layers, and AI supported process design. He has led teams of data engineers and senior software engineers across global organizations and early stage healthcare technology environments. Through MatrixFlow, Ben has delivered secure clinician portals, lab reporting workflows, operational status trackers, and Ark, the veterinary practice software platform he leads with clinical and veterinary advisors.

Ben works at the point where strategy becomes implementation. He helps healthcare organizations move from scattered tools, manual processes, unclear ownership, and fragile reporting into systems that are secure, maintainable, and built around how teams actually work.

Savina Kimbrough, Co Owner and Clinical Operations Lead at MatrixFlow

Savina Kimbrough, MSN, FNP BC

Co Owner and Clinical Operations Lead

Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and MatrixFlow co owner bringing real clinical judgment, workflow insight, and frontline healthcare experience into every healthcare technology project.

Savina Kimbrough is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and co owner of MatrixFlow. She brings the perspective most technology teams are missing: years of direct patient care, clinical documentation, care coordination, EMR use, and day to day operational experience inside real healthcare environments.

Her background spans primary care, long term care, cardiac care, endoscopy, dermatology, patient education, clinical instruction, and multidisciplinary care teams. She understands how healthcare work actually happens, where workflows break down, why documentation becomes burdensome, and how small operational gaps can create major frustration for clinicians, staff, and patients.

At MatrixFlow, Savina helps ensure healthcare systems are not only technically sound, but clinically practical. She reviews workflows through the lens of the people who use them every day: nurses, providers, front desk teams, administrators, and patients. Her role is to help MatrixFlow build solutions that reduce friction, support safer handoffs, improve documentation clarity, and fit naturally into the realities of care delivery.

Savina gives MatrixFlow a true clinical voice. Her experience helps bridge the gap between healthcare operations and software execution, making sure our solutions are grounded in real practice rather than theory.

Frank Adamsky, PhD

Executive Advisor, Business Transformation and Organizational Performance

Executive transformation advisor with experience across startups, global enterprises, and major industrial organizations, helping teams improve leadership behavior, accountability, communication, execution, and measurable operating performance.

Frank Adamsky, PhD is MatrixFlow's Executive Advisor for business transformation and organizational performance. He brings the kind of operating experience that is difficult to find in a typical technology engagement: decades of leadership, management, technical, commercial, and transformation work across startups, mid market companies, and global enterprise environments.

Frank has worked with organizations ranging from a six person startup to multi billion dollar conglomerates, and his experience spans production, technical operations, research and development, sales, marketing, business development, leadership development, negotiation, self management, and sales effectiveness. His background includes work with major organizations including Cisco, John Deere, Honda America, Syntegon, CP Kelco, Mondi, Abcam, Metalsa, and Novus, along with prior management roles at Daikin, Bayer Industrial Chemicals, English China Clays, Westvaco, and Calgon.

At MatrixFlow, Frank strengthens the people, leadership, and operating discipline side of transformation. His role is especially valuable when a healthcare workflow, EHR optimization, or operations improvement project is not just a software problem, but an execution problem. He helps leaders clarify ownership, improve communication routines, strengthen accountability, define escalation paths, and build the management habits required for change to actually stick.

Frank's perspective helps MatrixFlow deliver more than technology recommendations. He helps make sure new workflows, reporting structures, system changes, and operating models can be adopted by real teams and sustained by real leaders.
